Please translate these recipes into Spanish using the "se" impersonal form.

Quesadilla. First, place an oiled pan over the stove. Next, put a tortilla onto the hot pan. Then, place the cheese evenly on the tortilla. Once the cheese has thoroughly melted fold the tortilla in half. Last, serve with salsa.

Vegetable soup. First, put 3 cups of water into a pot and put onto a low flame. While the water is heating chop celery, carrots, onions, potatoes, and tomatoes into small pieces. When the water is about to boil add the vegetables. Next, add small amounts of salt and pepper to your liking. Last, serve with bread.

French Fries (las papas fritas). First, put 1/2 cup of oil into a frying pan and place over stove. Next, chop 3 potatoes into rectangular shaped pieces. When the oil is hot add the potatoes into the oil. Wait till the fries have a golden color to take out of the oil. Place the cooked fries onto a paper towel to drain excess oil. Last, serve french fries with ketchup

Either is OK.

And of course, I'm speaking to a mature adult, so use "vous"

My best guess is ?Cuantos estudiantes tiene? Is this even close? Of course there are is an accent over the a in cuantos and the question mark at the beginning is supposed to be upside down. You're not doing my homework, just being a temporary tutor. Thanks.

Hi!

Is it true that if there is a circonflexe over an 'e' vowel it means that it replaces an 's' that was in the word originally - for example
that 'crepes' (I don't have a keyboard with the sign) was originally 'crespes' which is related to the English (?) word,
'crisps'.....

and: how do you pronounce the word if it has a circonflexe?

And - please - how do you pronounce the word 'creme' with the accent grave? ....

I am sorry to bother you, but I have no one to help me right now and this comes up every time I copy out recipes...

Thank you very much!
