I'm thinking of double majoring in college.

I have a double major and a degree in ASL. Right now I am currently teaching ASL in a high school and college. If you are going to do that though I would get a teaching certificate. I also interpret but I had to get a certification to do that too. ASL is also a great link to doing something in linguistics which is a good possibility as a master's degree. Special education require a lot more certifications and classes so ASL doesn't always relate because not all special ed students are deaf. Good luck!

If by ASL you mean American Sign Language, then a job in Special Education is possible. Another option is care for the handicapped so a form of nursing might work. An associate degree in nursing such as an LVN with ASL or a degree in education with ASL.

Just a degree -- probably nothing...

BUT

If your ASL is good enough, you could get certification and get a job as an interpreter.

ASL can really help you. You can be an interpreter... Also you can work in hospitals. It's really important for medical professionals too...

I may sound uninformed. What is a degree in ASL?
