Although my baby isn't born yet, I am worried about teaching him or her Greek and English. I am British but live in Greece, my husband is Greek and the child's first language must be Greek. Several friends here have bi-lingual children, they say that one parent talks in English and the other in Greek, isn't his a little confusing for the child? Does anyone have any good tips for me?

I'm a freshman currently taking spanish and planning to continue take it. Next year as a sophomore, they are offering to students to take another language and I have a time choosing between french and latin. I really want to learn french because I just recently became obsessed with french music, and culture. I want to learn latin because well I do want to become a pharmacist and I heard latin is important in medicine and it helps on the SATs.

y ésa tu locura de adorar la luna, es locura eterna de todo poeta;
y ésa tu locura de adorar la luna, es locura eterna de todo poeta;
CHORUS
Sapo cancionero... canta tu canción,
que la vida es triste si no la vivimos con una ilusión... que la vida es triste si no la vivimos con una ilusión...

Tú te sabes feo..., feo y contrahecho, por eso de día tu fealdad ocultas,
y de noche cantas tu melancolía y suena tu canto como letanía;
y de noche cantas tu melancolía y suena tu canto como letanía;
Repican tus voces, en franca porfía, tus coplas son vanas como son tan bellas,
no sabes acaso que la luna es fría, porque dió su sangre para las estrellas (repeats agin x2)

My boyfriend constantly discriminates against others due to their religion. He will put them down because they are Jewish, or Atheist, or some other religion than his. This makes me feel rather insecure because we are not the same religion. Anyways, what kind of word would be an appropriate term for his behavior?

The languages would be French, English and Japanese (the first two would have been learned from parent and living in uk, the third from studying it a university). Furthermore, what jobs could i do for a sports company (preferrably adidas)? (The qualifications would be just a diploma in japanese, not japanese and business or something like that)

Ok, I already know Spanish, English, and a bit of French and Czech. I have a chance, in college, to take some intensive language courses, which require you to be basically fluent and pass a huge exam and everything. Ok, so they languages they offer are Spanish (already know it), French (don't really want to take this that much), Russian, Latin, German, and Japanese. Now, I am confused on which language i want to take. I kind of want to take German, but I have hated how German sounds my entire life, but recently i have grown to like it. I don't know. Russian would be cool too but I don't know if that would be very useful! What do I do? Thanks!

To be quite honest they are crap. I am part greek and once in a while i see someone post a question asking how to translate that into english or into greek. I understand what they are saying but the translator won't interprent it well. Last time someone asked to translate something into greek i nearly cringed at one of the people said thr online translator typed.

So now i am wondering can you trust really trust an online translator? why?
