I'm a freshman currently taking spanish and planning to continue take it. Next year as a sophomore, they are offering to students to take another language and I have a time choosing between french and latin. I really want to learn french because I just recently became obsessed with french music, and culture. I want to learn latin because well I do want to become a pharmacist and I heard latin is important in medicine and it helps on the SATs.

I teach Latin, so I am little biased, but I wholeheartedly agree that Latin will help with SATs. Not only does it build your vocabulary, since Latin roots can be found in many English words, but it will also solidify your hold on English grammar. Way back when I was in high school, Latin really helped me improve in both of these areas.

In terms of working as a pharmacist down the road, the Latin you take in high school probably won't help all that much since you won't be learning the specialized vocabulary. Latin can help you learn French later on, but, to be honest, knowing Spanish is probably just as helpful.

Ultimately, you should probably take whatever language you feel more interested in or passionate about. Learning languages, as you know from taking Spanish, is not all that easy and you have to be committed. Bonam fortunam / bonne chance!

There is no use in learning Latin because Spanish and French come from Latin.
If you learn French : not only will you learn a new language but it will help you in learning pharmacist terms.
What's more, as you wrote, since you're obsessed with French music, you 'll learn this language quickly.

You're already taking Spanish. If you take French (another language derived from latin) you will get another USEFUL language that will help you with the eventual pharmaceutical terms, since there is a lot of Latin roots in Spanish and French. I'm not sure how much help you would get from learning Latin, as you won't get much of a chance to practice it :(
