Im really not understanding the Passé composé. What is an auxiliary verb? Any why can i only use this with avoir and etre?

I'm essentially wondering exactly how the name "Nathaniel" or "Nathanael" is written in Hebrew. This name is of Hebrew origin (was one of the 12 apostles), but I can't seem to find how it is written in the original Hebrew.

does it mean their from the dominican republic or dominica? Its frustrating when they say their dominican, i dont know which one their from. I heard its pronounced differently, (how so exactly?) but lots of times i just see it written and I dont know the difference

also how do you pronounce dominica? i know how to pronounce the dominican republic.

Growing up I went to a french school. When I got to high school, I left the french one and went to an english school. I am fairly good in french, I can somewhat carry on a conversation. I want to perfect it again. What should I do?? Do i buy a french/english dictionary and start learning the words again? start reading french books and watching french television. Any suggestions?
