i want to know how to say when i wwent to elementry school but our teacher told us elementryschool was primaria do i say primaria or primeria escuela

You can say
Cuando fui a la escuela primaria
sounds better.
But there is nothing wrong with just "primaria".

take it from a student about to be in Spanish 3/4
wouldn't it make more sense if someone said primary school instead of just "primary"
