It really helps if we can understand the question, and makes folks look uneducated if they misspell too much. You're not text messaging here, or getting charged by the letter, so spell things the right way!

What is the right word to express that an activity is well established? I mean, that something (e.g. a certain activity or function in a company) has been adopted and has been running for a while (e.g. some years).

It must the the opposite to the concept of a special function.

I am looking for a word that express this condition, like the word
"impressiveness" express the idea of having the ability to impress the mind.

Is there any English word (perhaps ending in "ness") suitable to express this concept?

You never know when these might come in handy....

1) "I know... It's impressive isn't it?"
2) "We should talk at your hotel. I don't know if I am being followed and I want you to be safe."
3) "My secret mission is over the day after tomorrow, but I will find a way to contact you."

I am doing my dissertation on language and limitation, and focussing on the spoken and the written word....does anyone out there want to voice their opinions on how we are (or even IF we are) limited by the spoken or written word? Which do you feel limits us less?
I am looking at Wittgenstein and Derrida for their theories too, so anyone who wants to quote them, feel free!!
Thanks
PLEASE no point scoring people just saying 'no' - it's really not helpful

Say you grow up in the USA speaking english. Then at 21 you move China, and begin to learn Chinese. At what point do you see a fat person and think "danggg doww con dow". Sorry for the ignorance but you get my point.

Are there tha many people visiting from Europe or other countries?
Say for example, In highschool i studied french. Never see any french tourists or people in my life. Well maybe just a few at random, but it's not like a sizeable group. So how in the world can we use such languages.

Ok and i know there's other communities besides Spanish speaking ones. But are they big at all? Doesn' seem like it. OR if there are any, they would be part of the rich class. My mother is a house cleaning lady and one of her bosses was married to a french guy .They lived in a commnunity where rich people live here close to my city.
