of course that's the suave polite form of address, very gentlemanlike and gets you places with the Fräuleins...

The Philippines has 80+ dialects spoken all over the islands. I speak Cebuano and Tagalog.

For Filipinos out there DO NOT LITERALLY translate it word for word. It does'nt work like that.
