Ikaw

Sa panalangin sana'y ikaw maangkin.
Sa pagtulog kung mahimbing.
Sa panaginip ikay kapiling.
Magkayakap ay masaya.

Pag-gising sa umaga
kislap ng yong ngiti
tikwas ng yong buhok
at sa yakap moy
akoy nananabik.

Lahat ng itoy pinapangarap
hangang ikay muling mahagilap.

Akap ang iyong larawan.
Bulong ng iyong pangalan
para sa kauting kasiyahan
sa isip nagtatanong
hanggang kailan.

Mananalangin na lang.
Maghihintay na lang.
Hanggang ikay dumating
masasaksihan ang iyong lambing.

Sanay ang yakap ko ay damhin
Bulong ang puso puso dingin.
Di mo man alam
Di mo man ramdam.

Ikaw ang kailan ko
sa buhay ko.

Nais koy ipaabot sa iyo
Mahal na mahal kita.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is rude to ask "what's your name". So is "what are you?" or "what do you do for a living?"

So, how do you politely ask a person his name and calling?

always see this. They try to hard, many of them even sound like a white person say from new york or something.. and they always add "you knows", and "uh's" . Good for them, however they want to lose their accent totally like they are really ashamed , or as if if you have an accent is a sin.. or as if having and accent you will not REALLY fit in with REAL AMERICANS which is kind of true if they want to fit in with Assimilated White or Black people( i don't even feel like i fit in with those americans)..Then, they see me. and hear me, cause i have a spanish accent and they think i'm not even American. i answer SO WHAT if i have an accent? it doesn't matter! etc.. i try to teach them something about real americans. but they are like trying to be robots or something.. Be yourselves! come on.
Are the ESL teachers going abroad spreading this bunch of BS that you have to turn into someone else?

I'm curious to know how the phrase "It's all greek to me" got translated into Greek. It's been ages since I studied the greek alphabet but I will try to transliterate what it said:

Emena mou phainontai alampourneyika.

Ευχαριστώ!

I suck at english because i for some reason, even though i was exposed to english in school and everything, it never entered my brain . Plus i didn't use it cause i am generally non talkative and don't talk to no one, and it's not like i'm good at my mothers language either. Spanish, in fact i know LESS spanish than english. I feel like a failure cause i'm about the only American who doesn't know english. So what to do? Can i take a class? It would seem odd, since i even went to University using english and graduated, But I'm an odd person.. i'm not good at speaking for some reason. I'm learning idioms from a book now, but i have no american friends and i'm not good at making friends. So any advice?

Do you use the subjunctive mood nowadays. I picked up these sentences from a dictionary.

#1 He demanded that she explain why she told a lie.
#2 It's strange that she be angry with me.
#3 She insisted that her daughter come home early.
#4 They insisted that she be there.

He is just 3 years and 9 months now. At home we speak our own language. He goes to baby care every day and learn Japanese. His sister is going school and learned Japanese well. Both they always speak in Japanese at home and wherever they are. We also try to teach him english as a third language.

Are these too much load on him?
