For example, in Engish a cat says "meow", a dog says "woof", a cow says "moo"...I remember that in Spanish a cat says "miau" and a dog says "guau". Other examples of animal onomatopoeia in other languages?

In Fiddler on the Roof, they say, "Za Vasha zdorovya," and Babelfish translates "your health" as "vashe zdorovye," which would change to "vashya zdorovya" in genitive (I think) after "za." However, all the googling I do seems to come up with "Za vashe zdorovye" or "Na zdorovye." So how do you really say "to your health" in Russian (you can spell it in Cyrillic if you want, or phonetically if you prefer)?

ok...I know the whole thing about speaking spanish...I know one day I will have to learn it because in about 20 year English will be the foriegn language....But what should I do??? I went to get gas this morning, and the first thing I hear when I went in the gas station was the T.V. will spanish on it...ok I can handle that...But to wait in line for 10 minutes because the cashier can't speak english...that it was pissed me off... I'm not trying to be racist or act like english is better but come on...I can't even get gas wih out speaking spanish..I have tried going other places doesn't work everyone speaks spanish... Am I the only one this bugs....I just feel if we have to learn their language they should have to learn ours too...Right????

i was listenin to the song machete by daddy yankee and i know that in english its a knife but in spanish does it mean somthing else cause it doesn't sound like thier talking about a knife...
