The place I go to is expensive and it has a no tipping policy. So, extra money or a tip cannot be accepted. I'm not sure how much to spend or what to get. I've been going there every 7 weeks for about 8 months. She's really good at cutting my hair.

Hi. She's reasonably active for her age. She lives by herself, gets out of the house a lot, crochets, takes line dancing, exercises regularly, and is very close to me. I don't want to get her one of those traditional figurines, plaques, or books that have nice quotes about grandmothers, because she doesn't speak too much English...
If I were to give her something homemade and personal, what should I make? If I buy something, what are some good ideas? I'm also on a budget, so under $20 would be good.
