I've always been curious.

What are the different holidays and festivals, and how do they compare to those that are celebrated in the United States?

I have no money, but a check is on it's way to me. It should have been in on Saturday, but it didn't come in. I can't wait till tomorrow for this check, it's very important, I have no food and no gas to get to work tomorrow, and I go to work before the mail gets here. Is there any way I can get that check today! I need to eat, i'm diabetic!

I need help coming up with what to do for my 17th b-day. I was thinking about maybe lasertag, b/c it's turbo-fun, but i dunno. Here's some general info that might help with your suggestions:
-It will be boys and girls
-None of us smoke or drink, or anything like that.
-I don't want to spend a whole lot of money
-Please no spin-the-bottle type games
-It's in the middle of December, so it'll be too cold to do a lot of outdoors things.

Do you decorate for every holiday that you can possibly decorations for?
I can't help it. I was deprived as kid because we were poor. So to get into the spirit of the holiday with my kids, I decorate for most of them, atleast the ones I can find decorations for, even Valentine's Day..
Too, it's different, its fun and the kids just love it!!!!

veterans day is Nov.11th, but Nov.12th is 'veterans day' observed for this yr 2007, what the hell is 'veterans day' observed, why is it different every year, while veterans day is always on Nov.11th, why have 'veterans day' observed, when veterans day is already a holiday? why things have to be so messed up?
