I am turning 50 in less than a week. I am happy and thankful to be alive and to be blessed with so much in my life. I have a wonderful family and friends, etc., who say I do not look 50. But I don't know, there is something scary about being half a century old.

All other holidays are just that single day, Happy Valentines, Happy Easter, Happy Flag Day etc. . New years is a single day but it also represents an entire year, but the whole year is not new at some point, say by mid-february.

What kind of gift is this. I have seen Omaha Steaks, Fruit of the Month Club, but never Bacon of the Month Club. She is upset, not me, I LOVE bacon.

What is the first day of Christmas? Is it December 25? And when is Twelfth Night? Is it the night of the 12th day? Or is is the night before the 12th day?
And a related queerie: when are you supposed to take your Christmas tree down? 12th night or Little Christmas?
