One of my friends thinks that New Year just another ordinary day so there's no reason to celebrate it with partying and stuff. I think that's just sad. What do you think?

It's just like when your car's mileage rolls to the next thousand or something. It's a unique time that makes you think about where you've gone, and where the next "thousand" might take you.
I say, "Heck yeah you celebrate it!"

I always feel like what am i supposed to do on this day. I mena i usually spend the day saying things like, "The first breakfast of the new year" The first yawn of the new year and so on.
This year my parents went to a New Years day party. Personally i think that throwing a party new years day is for whimps who don't want to spend on alcohol or food. It's a cop-out.
New Years day should only be a holiday so that we assure we still get it off so we can recover form our extraneous activities the precious night!

I think New Years is a time for new beginnings...a time to reflect on the year that has just past, to be thankful for the good things and to close the door on the bad. We celebrate because it makes us feel good ... if your friend chooses not to ... well its just its his/her tough luck! Imagine ... missing out on all the fun...what a drag that must be!

I think... this year is ending and a new one is gonna begin tomorrow. so hell yea lets party it up dude thats what you do on new years eve.if you dont its like a kid not going trick or treating when there young lol its just wrong.
