Happy birthday to you! I hope that you see turning 50 as YOUR time to put yourself as a priority and enjoy life fully. I wish you to embrace life and enjoy every day of it!
We get older each day, birthday is just one of those days. So there's absolutely no reason to feel older on your birthday. :) Besides, age is only a number, so there's no reason to feel old at all! See it as maturing, getting wiser and blossoming. :)
One more thing. How can one LOOK a certain age? That's just people's prejudice. Don't let society decide for you how you're supposed to look like, dress or act when you reach *any* age... You are a unique person, not a number.

I just turned 56! I, too, am happy and thankful to be alive and blessed with a wonderful family and friends. 50 is just a number and health is what's important. Plus, didn't you hear, 50 is the new 30!! People are living to over 100yr, these days, as long as they are healthy.
So take care of yourself, enjoy your family and friends, set time for yourself, have girls night out, etc.
My in-laws are going on 93 and 100 and are enjoying their great-grandchildren. 50 sounds really young to them. HA!
Enjoy your life at whatever age you are blessed to reach and thank God for each day.

The forties are the old age of youth. The fifties are the youth of old age. They say that when you get older your strengths develop in other areas. If you are happy, thankful, and blessed that is a good start. I have felt old since I was twenty eight. I am now fifty seven and still feel that way. If you find a good answer let me know. You will be one famous person.

50 and nifty is the way you want to look at it. the only birthday you want to reach after 50 is retirement age. the others are just numbers -- or that was the way I felt. Have a Happy Birthday and celebrate your half - century in fine style
