Halloween

Am I the only one that has noticed that a lot of people have almost no imagination when it comes to picking a halloween costume? "Hmmm...Do you think sexy devil/angel is a good idea?", or, "How about goth/ punkrocker, would that be cool?"
Cmon you guys! There must be some of that childlike brilliance tucked away in those heads of yours somewhere. Don't tell me that a short skirted, low cut princess type thing that you picked off a shelf is the best you can come up with! What happened to the days when people made their own costumes from scratch. Hasn't anybody noticed yet that the "cool" and "original" costumes that you are desperately asking about here are the ones you have to pour your heart and time into ( not to mention a little money and a good idea)?
So who's with me!!? Down with prepackaged conformity! Up with homemade, well thought out Halloween greatness! Let's create something to Ooooh and Ahhhh about!

3 guys in early 20s. Is the wizard of oz too played out for halloween? we were thinking of tin man, lion and scarecrow.

we dont want to run in to people with the same costumes. last year we were batman and robin and we got a ton of attention bc no one else had a robin.

or any other good idea for a group of 3 maybe 4. something good. doesnt have to be funny, just not stupid.

For Halloween, my hubby want's to wear a zuit suit and since I like to match him, I need to know what kind of costume I would need for this.

also, we have a two yr. old daughter, so if you know of child versions of this as well I would really appreciate it.

I'm a tall woman, and I'd like to go as a historical woman. (1950's or earlier)

I'm also brunette, and would prefer not to play a blonde, but I can adjust... I can't think of anything, and I'm usually quite creative!

Any suggestions?

Here are my requirements:

-not inappropriate
-not creepy (like a dead something or a mummy or vampire or ghost or anything actually halloween-related lol)
-skirt/dress (if it doesn't include that it has to be really cute)
-can't be a cat, sock hop outfit, gogo, nerd, tv interviewer, no roman/greek goddesses, ummm....i'll think of more later!

thanks....

The college I go to is one of the cheapest tuition-wise in my state, and most of the student body consists of middle-aged people who go there to continue their education (don't get me wrong, it's a great school with great professors; just not very expensive). I take night classes there and I was under the assumption that my school knew about all of these older students who have children/grandchildren, hence my thinking that there wouldn't be any classes the night of Halloween since it's really a very family oriented holiday. However, when I looked at my syllabus a moment ago, I realized that my professors have lessons planned for that night!
Honestly, I don't think that's very fair. Do the people at my school really think their students would rather sit in on a boring lecture than Trick-or-Treat with their children?!? I know there are sacrifices one has to make when it comes to continuing their education, but that's asking a little much IMO. What do you think?

I need a sexy halloween costume for teen girl. I'm 5' 4", blonde hair, blue eyes, size 5 juniors pants, D-cup breasts, pretty hot, so I'm told. Guys especially!

When is he age where a teen should stop btrick-or-treating? Of course, there are some teens who throw on some cat ears and head out with a pillowcase to get free candy. it is understandable to discourage these people. However, some people have flat-out refused candy to kids over 12, no matter how much effort they had put into a costume, how polite they were, or what time they came. I think this is wrong. If a teenager wants to put on a costume and be a kid for one night a year, people shouldn't stop them.
Thoughts?

Hi everyone! halloween is coming up and I've decided i'm either going to be a sailor or a doll. I don't want to be a rag-doll though, or a porcelin doll, but I was thinking like a marionatte puppet doll?? I'd maybe wear a cute frilly puffy dress and attach strings to my hands and legs like I've "Escaped". I've seen cute girl dolls with like lipstick only in the middle of their lips and big red rosy cheeks... what is this called?? I've been looking online for days and cant find anything except "rag doll" and porcelin/voodoo doll ideas. PLEASE HELP! I need assistance figuring this out!!

Me, my sister, and our friend are all going Trick or Treating together. What would be a good costume for all three of us? We could all be something similar, but kind of different, or we can all be the same thing. It doesn't matter, I just need ideas, please! Thanks!

I know that the holdays are coming. It's almost halloween, thanksgiving, and christmas. I am the only child, in high school. Last year for halloween, i went trick or treating by myself. I might not go this year due to braces, i'll just watch disney channel. Then for thanksgiving, my parents were busy fixing/cleaning the house. I just ended up watching thanksgiving parades and events on tv. Our plan was to go to our neighbor for the dinner. They didn't have a kid in their house that's around my age. It was a parent kind of thing, only older people were there. I ended up going with my cousins when they called in the afternoon. I had dinner with them. My parents had it with our neighbor. Then for Christmas, my mom had a head ache, due to using the house heater. My dad had a muscle pain in the shoulder/arm. I just mainly watched tv that day. How can i have fun this holiday season because i'm the only child? any ideas?
