Hi everyone! halloween is coming up and I've decided i'm either going to be a sailor or a doll. I don't want to be a rag-doll though, or a porcelin doll, but I was thinking like a marionatte puppet doll?? I'd maybe wear a cute frilly puffy dress and attach strings to my hands and legs like I've "Escaped". I've seen cute girl dolls with like lipstick only in the middle of their lips and big red rosy cheeks... what is this called?? I've been looking online for days and cant find anything except "rag doll" and porcelin/voodoo doll ideas. PLEASE HELP! I need assistance figuring this out!!

Your ideas sound great. You may also want to add hand gloves. You could add jewelry, but I'm not sure since it could be easy to loose. If your gonna be a Marionette Doll, you could use a wig. Of course, it just all depends on how much money you plan on spending for your costume, good luck!

There is a Marionette costume at costumesinc.com, see link below. to get the look you want I think you might consider a mix of the rag doll costume and the marionette costume. you might also rent "the sound of Music" and watch the puppet show part with the lonely goat herd, and make a costume from that.

I thought it was called a marionette (or string puppet), though I can't find any GOOD images online at the moment...

You seem to have an idea of what they look like, or what you want to look like, so why not just go with that?

Cute frilly puffy dress.
Strings hanging off of your hands and knees. ("escaped")
White makeup to make a pale face. Nude lips with bright red center.
Or a cute painted mask that you can hold with a popsicle stick out it's bottom. (you can remove it so it shows your facade/veneer/that you're "wearing a mask")

just a tip find one of those plastic mask an get some white body paint paint the mask put some sray glue over it, the glue will give it a shine then add your hair an costume, the mask gives you the porcellin look, dont worry it doesnt have to be perfect
