I guess that would depend on the type of office you work in and the culture of your office. Some offices are super conservative while others a bit more liberal and still others even more liberal as far as what they deem appropriate. If you have an HR manager you might ask that person for some guidance. But I think there are some definate safe bets for costumes....Wizard of Oz characters, Disney characters, Pirates, Clowns, Doctor or Nurse (probably not a "naughty nurse), Cereal box, Angel, Fish, Teacher, Bride...there are so many...you should just look up ideas online, I'm sure you'll find a good one.

Nothing revealing or offensive.

I like to dress normally and wear costume contact lenses.

Make sure the costume doesn't interfere with your work.
An elf, a cat, a dancer, a cowgirl, Elvira are things that could work.
