It would appear that the U.S. government doesn't understand the grave threat Islam presents for the preservation of our democracy. Why would it issue a commemorative 1st class stamp for an Islamic holiday? Has there ever been a commemorative stamp issued by an Islamic government for a religious holiday of any other religion than Islam? A philatelist may be able to give some insight here.
