Eid-ul-Fitr is my favorite Eid. during Ramdan we fast and don't eat in regular manners for 30days, and when Eid comes, its time to celebrate and rejoice. during the month of Ramdan, we feel how poor ppl survive in hunger, we try to control our desires. we give charity for 30days. and those who cannot fast, i.e ill ppl, they give money to someone else to fast in their behalf. for these 30 days not only we refrain from bad, we also help others around....
and after all that, of course teh joy of eid is nothing compare to rest of teh holidays....

Eid ul Fitr for many reasons, I feel like their is a spiritual rejuvenation at that time and everyone is so close to each other, I mean there really is alot of bonding going on whenever you see another muslim anywhere you know they are going thru the same thing you are, and ofcourse the actual Eid day, it feels like you really have accomplished something good. Eid ul Adha just kinda shows up from nowhere, I mean I usually find out a week or 2 beforehand and not many people i know take off that day either.

I prefer Eid-ul-Fitr, because it comes at the end of a wonderful month of fasting and reflecting upon our lives and those of others. It's a great buildup all month, and at the end we can feel we have earned the celebration.
Eid-ul-Adha would be more meaningful to me if I or a family member had just completed Hajj.

I like fitar better because of the open houses and parties that last for a month. I think that after doing Hajj Eid al Azha will be much more important. I don't enjoy hanging around an abattoir for hours in the cold.

I like Eid ul-Adha the best becasue I feel that Muslims all over the world have their thoughts on not just on Allah but all the pilgrims in Mecca who are doing the sacrifice also. For the ones that have not done Hajj yet (like me!) it really puts the desire to go in your heart that much more. I really feel at one with ALL my fellow Muslim Brothers and Sisters during Eid ul-Adha.

I like Eid Al-Fitr more as I can feel the difference before and after...
In Eid Al-Adha, it's also nice but not as joyful as Eid Al-Fitr for the same reasons you mentioned...
