To make this a bit more specific, what do people normally do after namaj (prayer) and the khuthbah (sermon)?

i m from bangladesh...i have spent 42 eids in my life..40 in bangladesh and 2 in libya....i have always liked Eid...the holidays...the preparation of cleaning and washing the household stuffs...shopping is the best part...we keep on shopping,shopping,shopping....
The Eid day is a bit different now coz i m grown up now...before i didnt have to do any household works but now at the eid day i wake up when my mom does then we quickly tidy our house..mom gets busy with her cooking...abbu goes for his namaz..when he comes back we all sit together and eat sweet food....after that relatives visit us and we also visit the relatives....its really fun.oh yeah..we also enjoy the tv programms very much..

I went 2 Pakistan, and My dad's cousin said they usually go 2 a friend's house first, then go see their familes 4 the rest of the day. So it's basically the same as here in the US.

I do not know and I am a muslim myself too but this is how i celebrate my Eid in the US.
I get ready and put on my bangles and dress then my dad will take me to our relatives houses. We talk, eat, talk, then we say good-bye and go to another relative house. The last house we ever go is my aunt house. All of our relatives go to my aunt's house bacause she loves to cook.I play with all my cousins and I have a great time. But I am always the last one to go to my aunt's house and the first one to leave.Because my dad wants to go home.I do not know why.We say good-bye and head home. And my dad gives my big sister, big brother, and I gives us each 100 dollars.I do that every Eid.

It is celebrated the same way we celebrate it here. The whole muslim world celebrates it the same way where ever you go.
