What movie? I'm not referring to any movie. Not that I'm aware of.

Good idea!! We always have spaghetti & meatballs for dinner on Halloween night - fills them up, keeps them warm,
it's kinda gross with wiggly noodles & big ol rolly eyeballs!
They don't dive straight into the candy buckets after the first couple of houses, either, since they had supper!!

I don't think leftovers are necessarily creepy, scary, or disgusting, but they are convenient. Someone who is sending out or receiving trick-or-treaters, or who is going out him/herself, probably won't want to cook a big dinner for Halloween. Perhaps s/he can turn those leftovers into a soup and call it Witches' Brew.

Traditionally, I have walked the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade, then gone to a restaurant in Greenwich Village or Chelsea. However, I'm now too old and week to walk the parade. Last year I watched it around 10th Street, then ate at a local restaurant. Some places might feature fall fare like pumpkin soup or pumpkin pie or an apple dish.

So to answer your question about leftovers becoming the traditional Halloween dinner...I say it depends.
