i was working tonight and overheard some girl complaining because the credit card gift card she got from her parents only had $140 left on it and that it originally had $650 on it...

people that live in my area are really rich, but 16-17 year olds getting brand new cars or loads of cash for xmas is a bit ridiculous to me.

[i asked for ONE thing: a hatchetman charm (if you dont know what it is, jus keep reading, lol) , which only costs $35 and i got a $119 tv, $59 mp3.. and other little things. i didnt want all of it, but i got it.]

what can I do???? This Christmas I didn't ask for an i pod or a mp3 or the latest pair of baby phat jeans....no this year I decided to think what I could do for my family??? How could I make Christmas special as it should be ...why because it is Christ's Birthday of course and a time to celebrate life and love and togetherness. So I made a dinner a feast of delights...Why though is it that we forget the true meaning of Christmas and rush to the stores to find out what toy timmy wants or what dress sally has to have. it was shipped on the december 23 and normaly comes in 2 days. i still have not gotten it yet. when do you think it will come. i really really need it to come by saterday. i am thinking it is because of the christmas cards and stuff, it did not get here yet.

again,with the shops all open again,transport running normally.Are you like me and cant buy presents for anyone any year as finances wont allow it,and are stuck at home no family or friends to see,nothing but repeats on Sky tv,and just basically bored stiff and fed up,as theres no where to go,nothing to do.I find it an extremely boring and depressing time of the year.Cant visit family at christmastime as they are all out visiting over christmas,so anyone else feel the same as me,and are just thankful to see the back of christmas and the new year holidays.jenni uk

My live-in boyfriend of almost 5 years decided to go out and blow 75% of his paycheck a few weeks ago on a new flatscreen TV. He had the audacity to say it was "for us". He assured me he would still have money to get me a gift this year. I spent a lot of time shopping for him and carefully picked out gifts that he would like including a new ring. I was so surprised to see two boxes under the tree for me this year. After he had opened his gifts I opened mine and to my horror I found a necklace/earring set made from metal that is painted to look like copper with fake stones (the kind of jewelry that turns your skin green when you wear it). I am sorry but I am a 30 y/o professional woman and I don't even think a teenager would wear this. I looked it up online..I found it, it was on sale for $8.50! Am I wrong for being angry about this or am I whining for no reason? I didn't expect him to spend a fortune, but I thought I was worth more than that! Should I say something to him?
