Somehow, I think of xmas eve as something more special. nothing much really happens on xmas day besides present opening. Is it just me?

For me, its all about Christmas eve!
-last minute shopping rush,
-the jammed-packed stores and supermarket,
- preparing the big turkey for Christmas,
-wrapping the presents,
-reading your child's wish-list(pretending your santa) and quickly buying the gifts
-making sure the decorations on the house and tree is neat
-cleaning up the house for your guests and relatives
-writing the last-minute greeting cards

etc......

Its all about the insane last-minute everything to make sure everything is PERFECT on Christmas!!!!!!!!!!

I agree! I LOVE Christmas eve MUCH more than day. IDK why but I do. Maybe because we all know Santa is on his way and the anticipation grows. On xmas day, it is all over. You know what was in those mysterious boxes. You have seen the half eaten cookies and the gifts from Santa. It is just kind of over. The only thing that isn't over is the time with family. That is what Christmas is REALLY about. I say just enjoy THAT on both days!

Sort of, we went to church Christmas Eve and it was special. The church was packed.
We sing carols and the minister tells the Christmas story. This year she pretended she was the shepherd's daughter and she got to go out with her dad and brothers to tend the sheep. They were then off to see the new babe.
Christmas day we opened presents and ate and put a jigsaw puzzle together, well, worked on it.
We did go see my husband's mom and grandma.

my sister's a nurse and has to work on Holidays, so we always celebrate on Christmas Eve. This year, we went to her house and had our ham dinner and opened our presents. I did spend Christmas with my bf and his son, though, so it was nice too.

my on the spot family contributors exchanges presents as quickly as we return from hour of darkness mass, so technicall you ought to assert it rather is Christmas morning. we've a protracted holiday and rejoice christmas lower back on December 12 so for the duration of that factor we pass to family contributors and take presents for them, or they arrive to be certain us and we supply them their presents To remark on somebody's remark: until eventually recently i presumed yuletide grow to be beside the point using fact it "exed out" Christ in Christmas. yet then I examine the history with regard to the be conscious yuletide and located that the "X" did advise Christ yet from historic situations.
