My Christmas wasn't too nice. A close relative spent the whole Christmas in hospital, which kind of ruined the fun of Christmas. On top of that both I and my hubby got sick and my back has been killing me and my brother was so tired that he couldn't get up to join the family for Christmas. I got some nice gifts, but all of them are practical gifts (kitchen tools mostly), so they weren't very fun despite being useful. Oh well, at least it snowed.

I got some really good gifts, but there was sooo much family drama and they were allll making fun of me constantly and it was just humiliating. I ended up with $100 in giftcard and $2000 dollars on debit, and $100 cash, and a lot of gifts... so why am I even complaining?! lol, I guess it wasn't /that/ bad, just a little nerve-racking.

Much the usual for us. We cooked and cleared up and the young folk did their thing. We enjoyed it but struggled with occasional temperamental outbursts but on the whole would say one of the best for quite a while.
Happy New Year.

Not what I expected. I planned for everyone to sing carols, but everyone was so engrossed in talking that no singing... what a waste. Gifts... well, the usual , not what I expected, but its the thots that count, right?

who cares about christmas? the real question is what are you doing after? I mean everyone hypes up christmas and everyone year after year is in awe about how much money they spent, and its just miserable after meeting all the n laws and family and it just sucks.
