I've been going to the same sandwich shop for lunch the last four months and since they are very friendly and obliging I bought a Christmas box of chocs to say thanks. I am now however wondering if this isn't silly? They are just doing their job after all but to me it just isn't a given that people 'just doing their job' are also nice with it so I thought it deserved a little thank you. Is that absolutely not done or would it be ok?

If not, are you in a relationship with someone who does celebrate it? How do that work for the two of you?
Any suggestions on keys to success with a Jehovah's Witness and Catholic relationship?

My aunts every Christmas gets the same bloody sweaters year after year which are expense and I dont ever wear. My gf goes over the top and gets me the hottest electronic gadget which is a waste of money. My dad usually get me the ugliest ties which is probably illegal to wear at work place anways. My buys me give 50 bucks which I end up buying her a present with. No body acutally get me what I want. Right now I need a shredder.

that you really, really wanted, but your parents didn't get for you? (I'm speaking only in terms of gifts they reasonably could have obtained and afforded.) I had two - an Easy Bake Oven and a Snoopy Sno-cone machine. I think my parents had an aversion to buying things for which they would have had to continue buying MORE things (i.e. cake mixes, sno-cone syrups), in order for me to play with them. : )

okay I say Merry Christmas personally because we are celebrating Christ and his birth. Some people do not like saying Merry Christmas, they prefer Happy Holidays. I want to know what you say? please explain why you say this too. explain why you say this greeting. Use plenty of details if you want. I know that I would. Who ever has the best answer and explains fully why they say such greetings gets best answer(10points) for Christmas! Are you up for the challenge?
