Holidays - December 2007

Seems to me the demonstrated love of parents and friends at Xmas - once we're aware of it - is far more moving than fantasies of Santa ever were. Although, like fairies and other things Santa's a fun idea while it lasts - until we find reality is closer to home and our hearts.

I am from Jamaica, when my ancestors were slaves there they made and played their drums to communicate to celebrate and to dance, the white slave masters were afraid then and now their children are. some people are questioning the originallty of kwanzaa, but what about christmas and satan claus, why do people buy toys for their kids and then tell them its satan claus who give them, and they say its holy and kwanzaa is what!! no wonder they are afraid

i'm starting to see that people care more about gifts then god. . .

i got $100 dollar's for wal*mart. . .

and i did cry bbut i didn't make them feel bad for what they could aford. . .

i got taken out of my school. . .
got two thing for my brithday (6 days before x-mas)
handed out 23 things. . .
got woken up being yelled at for forgeting to get the pancake mix
and had to clean for compony
un-till 11:10 pm. . .

I know some people who write a list, go out driving on a country road where no one else is going to be, let the list go out the window and drive back to find it. They believe that if they find it they'll have good luck throughout the new year and they'll stick with their list. If they don't find the paper, they write a new list and do those resolutions. What do you guys do?
