Valentine's dinner. Do you think if I cooked her dinner, it would be more meaningful than going out for dinner? It would be her favorite foods too. Or should I take her out for dinner.

(i'm very young.. well not very.. but you know.. so i have limited money and i'v been dating for almost 8 months.)

i'm thinking about making him a "certain dessert" that is an inside joke to us...but its one that he really likes

i want to get him a bear because for christmas he got me a really big bear and i know he wants one too

and im thinking about making him a giant v-day card that's really cute

and i might buy him some other little something... but does that sound good?

I'm in my teens and have been going out with this guy for 5 monthes now. I don't really want to get him anything like a cheesy love poem. and I'm not exactly sure WHAT to get him. I was thinking more along the lines of something homemade. Whats a good homemade thing? Thats simple and sweet ?

I know my gf went overboard for me on Valentine's Day. I have a huge problem. I'm broke. My mom recently passed away and she left me with tons of debt. I have a choice: I can either pay my 85 dollar power bill (which is already way past due), or buy my gf a present worth that much. Should I just get her something? Maybe, I can show her that I'm giving up electricity for one week just to impress her lol! Hey, it will make the whole "candlelit romance thing" a lot easier. We won't have a choice! I don't know what the hell to get her though, also. I don't want to get just flowers. She loves theater, silver jewelry, Hawaii, and movies. She is 33 years old, and I am 24. Can I get some advice? I'm already taking her out to dinner that night. Oh man, the little cash register is going off in my head. My situation reminds me of a scene on the movie Half Baked where Dave Chappelle has a little tally going on of how much money he has to spend on his date. HELP!

So..I've been w/my b/f for a little over a year and we live together. He's been asking me what I want or want to do for Valentine's Day. He's 16, we have been dating for 3 months. He isn't into sports, he loves art, likes death metal/hard rock music, he's really sweet, we're very open/very close. I've never seen him wear any sort of jewelry other than black leather wrist bands with spikes in them. He has no piercings. He plays pool sometimes. He isn't very athletic (sorry if misspelled). He likes chocolate but I think the whole candy/teddy bears/cards thing is a little amateur and don't really like the idea of getting him stuff like that.

If someone could please help me think of something to get him for valentines day that would be awesome. thanks.

Everyone seems to like Valentine's Day a lot, which is cool by me. I honestly despise the holiday and its not because I have had bad relationships or anything, its just I feel like you shouldn't need a holiday to tell a person that you love them and you can do something romantic and nice for someone any day. I feel like such a loner with my views, so I was just wondering, does anyone else see the holiday the way I see it?
