I was going to get "Papi" (that's what I call him) tattooed on my chest, but not sure if that's a good "present" What do guys like.... The usual gofts are boring to me.

You've been engaged for 4 years and he hasn't married you yet, but you want to mutilate your body for him
Oh my goodness.

I personally don't like the idea of a tattoo unless it's a symbol meaning something special, and not a name. As a general rule for me tattooed names are ridiculous unless the person is dead and you want a memoriam on your body.

Tattoo is a fine idea, why not matching tattoos? or get him a gift certificate for a tattoo? Maybe piercing is up you alley?

Why not investigate in your area for some extreme sports and maybe have a day set for the future for a game? Maybe take him to a paintball range? Get a little aggression out by shooting at each other. If you can stand the pain of a tattoo, paintballing isn't any worse.

Helicopter rides aren't too expensive and it's fun. Maybe skydiving? Look for things in your local area that can be fun thigns to do together.

You know him well enough to know what is very special to him. Find something that you know touches him deeply and amplify that. Are his parents still living? Does he get along with them? Maybe get them in on the conversation on making this valentines day special for him. You could always ask them to babysit while you are able to go out with him.

What if you both got the dates of your children's births tattooed on you? That is something that made a huge impact in his life.

It's a lot to think about. I hope some of this helped.

Good god no tattoos!! I like them personally, but I think it is a major jinx to get something like that in a tat. Like talking about the last time you got an audit or something. With little ones at home-I bet he would love it if you could find a sitter and the two of you could go out alone-no sippy cup to look for, no crayons at the table. That is what my hubby wants-sadly I can't find a sitter so he is getting the run of the mill gift of flannel pajama bottoms. Hope you find the perfect gift.

ok i got mixed feelings about getting a tat with a guys name...as you said you have 2 kids with him and im sure no matter what happens you will always loves this man. when a person gets a tattoo of there man/lady and then they do break up...they wish they never did it but would also be a reminder is what you and him did share togeather and that is a positive thing. try thinking of tattos as a story book of your life...you get them at different times in your life and each one has a meaning behind it. good luck and if you get one double check on the spelling :)

Please don't ever get a man's name or nickname tattooed on you anywhere. That is not a good thing! Maybe y'all could go together to get tattoos that match or something. That could be your thing that y'all do for Valentine's day and that way, no names are on there anywhere...

I agree with her- that kind of a tattoo is bad luck for your relationship

Personally I hate tattoos, but thats just my own opinion.

I would probably allow a comedy one like "Welcome aboard" or "Please use other side".
