Everyone seems to like Valentine's Day a lot, which is cool by me. I honestly despise the holiday and its not because I have had bad relationships or anything, its just I feel like you shouldn't need a holiday to tell a person that you love them and you can do something romantic and nice for someone any day. I feel like such a loner with my views, so I was just wondering, does anyone else see the holiday the way I see it?

I agree with you here, though it seems i dislike it for different reasons to you. I think valentines day, in essence, is a good idea, but nowadays its too commercialised with all shops selling faintly romantic things at higher prices to attract couples, or suckers as i like to call them.

it's a "Hallmark" holiday.. made by the card companies...
In the big picture of life.. you're exactly right..
it's better to show your loved ones that you love them EVERY DAY..

No, I understand and agree that you should express your love every day, but it's nice to have several days a year to do it in a special way (Val's day, anniverseries, b days, etc).
