I love to just fly on them. It's a great sensation!

We have a new one opening in the winter here. It is open to 55 and older and rent payments are based on income. I have owned my mothers house for about 8 years now and since my divorce cant really afford the upkeep ,,, Im thinking about moving to the retirement community and renting this house to my sister. Any thoughts on this? Any comments or suggestions appreciated. I have been depressed since I moved into this house last Oct. I need a new start.Maybe this could be it?

I seem to gravitate towards anything with cats. I have a cat Christmas picture frame (with a picture of my baby girl), a wooden and ceramic cat, a painted rock of a Tabby cat asleep, a iron cast cat, several cat pillows from craft shows, and a picture of a cat with birds/rabbits in my living room!

That the world as it is today is more selfish because there are more people in it versus years ago when it had less people. Therefore, one was able to be kinder, more thoughtful, and less selfish. Parents had more time to teach and show their children how to behave in public and towards one another.

Do you believe people just don't care period and are out for themselves? Since things or rules are no longer black or white but gray, anything goes as long as it does not cause harm?

Or are both a cop out to responsibility?

I have so many personal labels I wish they'd stop sending them. Also I am now getting nickels in the mail also from certain charities. Doesn't all this cost them? Instead of wasting money doing this, it could go to the charity for their needs. Never understood this. Is this happening to you?

The teacher would make you stay after school and write on the blackboard, "I must not chew gum in school" or "I must not talk in class" 50 or 100 times before you could go home?

Did you ever just re-stuff the junk mail into the postage paid envelope and mail it back. Let them depose of their own trash.

A credit card company that I paid off 10 years ago still sends me junk mail everyday disguised in every possible way.

I did not go to kindergarten. On my 1st day of 1st grade the principal, Mrs. Heath had an assembly which was quite loud. I did not hear her say no playing on the schoolground equipment until you went home and came back. I lived across the street from the school so as I left to walk home I slid down the slide. The next morning I got called to her office and she paddled me. I was tramatized at the time! How about you?

We actually got to see the Mona Lisa when it was on view at that time. Riding on the bus was so exciting. Later when my son and nephew went on their school trips, I'd volunteer to chaperone just to relive those moments. They kept singing green bottles on the wall! Yikes

Social Security was 1 percent of a worker's wages up to $3000 per year? Business fought hard against the bill that passed in 1935, because they thought it would destroy initiative and discourage thrift. Based on where we are today, do you think they were right?

Our ice cream man looked like Elvis and would throw a few popsicle freebies in the air. Five cents for the popsicle. I also remember Mr. Freeze and Mr. Softee custard-style icre cream cones.

that the world just kept on turning? I know this may sound silly. But, have you ever loved anyone that deep, that you just knew the world would stop turning should something happen to them? And there you stand wondering how are you ever going to survive without this person in your life?

my life have been really outstanding women. My foster Mother who rescued me from an orphanage and showed me truly compassion was one of the biggest ones. But there have several other women in my life who have gone beyond traditional efforts to show me that it dosen't have to be a dog eat dog world. I believe to this day, that is why I have so many wonderful lady friends. They can call on me any time. How about you? Who had the most influence on you?

Taking the Canadian system as your example and incentive. I have been waiting since June 9th for an ultra sound on my damaged shoulder, to see if there is a rotator cuff tear as they suspect and nerve impingement. The hospital told me yesterday they arent doing any ultra sounds on shoulders. They dont have the staff or the resources.

They dont "do" joints anymore.

I have been put on a 2 1/2 year waiting list to see a shoulder specialist. MAYBE around October or November of 2009 I will get to see one

My friend has been waiting for over two years for "emergency" knee surgery, so now its become a knee replacement and not a repair, and they have bumped her back further on the waiting list.

Americans have to REALLY think about a Universial Health Care system, if I was American I sure as hell wouldt want it.
