Yes, I was caught talking out of turn & chewing gum in class beginning in the first grade. Hey, I liked to talk & I liked to chew gum, so what can I say? ~lol~ When I was in the first grade, my teacher made me put my gum on my nose & then sit under her desk until lunch time. It seemed like hours to me & since the front of her desk was open, I could see the kids pointing at me & laughing. I was so humilated, so I began poking the teacher's big toe (she wore open toed shoes) & she got annoyed rather quickly & let me go back to my seat. As for the gum that WAS on my nose, I stuck it under her desk. I wonder if she ever found it? hahahahahahaha

I got caught chewing gum and the teacher made me put it on the tip of my nose! She thought it was a punishment? I had more fun with that sticky gum! In fact, she would look away and I would pull a piece of it out as though it were stringy matter from my nose. LOL! I was a stinker!

Band in high school was the worst, he would either make us swallow it or stick it on our forehead until after class and then write a theme of 500 words due the next day.

The teacher makes my friend spit it out in the garbage, get a scolding in front of the class, and that's about it.
I never chewed gum.
Never liked it :D

yes, and it was a pain especially if one had to ride the school bus home. the parents of the offender were not very happy and this situation was not repeated by the same offender very often.

Yes, I was caught. I was asked to deposit it in the trashcan. At my daughter's high school, they are allowed to chew it.

Talking???? Your kidding, right? I could never control my sarcasm....genetic, I suspect! And of course, sarcasm begets sarcasm...I think I learned more about sarcasm from nuns than from any other person(s) in my life...they were fast, good, and to the point! Damn, they could whip it out fast!
