whether you need it or not?
I seem to gravitate towards anything with cats. I have a cat Christmas picture frame (with a picture of my baby girl), a wooden and ceramic cat, a painted rock of a Tabby cat asleep, a iron cast cat, several cat pillows from craft shows, and a picture of a cat with birds/rabbits in my living room!

I like old radios. The ones that look like science equipment from 1924 and earlier. I also repair them as needed, and when I have time.

You ailurophile! I used to do that. I bought cat figurines from Prague back in 2003.
Most of the time, nowadays, it's buttons with wacky sayings, coins from other countries, or postcards. I used to collect National Geograpic mags sometime back, but they fornicate and breed all over the place.

Mobiles and chimes....wasn't even aware I was doing it till one day I took count. Have them in the house, on the deck, out in the trees, etc. The latest one I picked up in NY....it's a mobile made with an old, upside-down enamel tin bowl, with plates and forks and spoons hanging off it. Did I need it? Of course not. But the plates and bowl and silverware remind me of meals in the old farmhouse we spent our summers in when I was young, so how could I resist?!
