There must something more stimulating, invigorating, and tantalizing subject matters to talk about other than taking geritol, metamucil and ben-gay. By the way I'm already drawing SS Checks.

Its amazing to behold.
Outside my hen hoose sits a creature - never seen its like before - but I swear a moment ago it was smiling.
The poor chooks inside were sqawking and chooking in alarm at what was amongst them - and they were afeared.
And the creature outside smiled and licked its dirty paws.
Then as silence came in the hoose when the wee chooks knew all was well - the creature then was perplexed.
I think that which the creature from without feared most of all had happened!
The thing that the creature wanted more than anything had chosen another way and had turned its back on the creature outside the hoose.
And all became well in the hoose.
Except.
One of the most precious hens - the one that brought laughter and joy into others lives - had become so sad that she flew away vowing never to return.
Until that most precious of my chooks comes home - there will be no celebrations or cailidh. The pipes will no blow until she comes home.
There is a light in yon hoose window.

That which brings darkness must live in darkness
The face that was banished to the darkness was sent for its image was shameful in its ugliness
That which lives in darkness is blind to the light of joy and laughter and companionship

It's a bit scary isn't it?
I would hate to be that wee beastie - and I am so glad I'm not!

I am seeing that there are pot stirrers here, like everywhere else, and my first reaction was,I do NOT need this drama.I will go elsewhere.
But I don't want to go - I am staying...nobody is making sense about this to me anyway, so I am choosing to move on and go back to the YA seniors questions & answers that have looked forward to so much.
maybe if everyone will stop feeding this, it will die down.wouldn't that be great?

If we all banded together & wrote YQ&A about our problem(s) and also told them how our area was the best kept, kind, considerate, & the help we have given to others, etc. they just might take a better look at us.
I am also sending a message to the AP news about this too for we are NOT like the other areas on Y Q&A.

My friend has a relative in her early 60's who plans to go back to college to earn her Ph.D. She is retired and has no intention of going back to work. My friend thinks this is "ridiculous," a waste of money, and "stealing a seat" from a younger person who will use the degree. What are your thoughts on this matter?

Seems it's been nothing but re-wrights. Yes...they have squashed us with the computer....but besides that? What's NEW?

My daughter was so thrilled to go to OZ fest years ago. Ya Ozzie from Black Sabbath...tripped to him way back myself. Still a star today. Metal isn't much more than hard rock was. So many of the NEW stars are just re-doing what was already done.

Where is their "Star Trek"? Now it's "reality TV"

They don't have a "Leave it to Beaver" or "Brady Bunch" or " I dream of Jeannie". No "Bonanza" or "Little House on the Prarie".

No new answer to disease or illness.

It's sad.
