No I have pop-ups barred. There is nothing more disconcerting than when you are in the middle of an email, than these adds flashing up.
"Click here you are the 100th winner!"
Most of them are 'phising' sites and some can pick up your email address, then you start getting loads of junk mail.
They sell the email address to other companies.
Also, you run the risk of a virus. if they come up on your computer, delete immediaely. Any pop-ups and flashing adds

these ads on yahoo that are flashing are just to get your attention. the reason why i say that because i help create some of these ads. its an on line business for people who want to earn extra money can join and companies from all over the world who provide a service or product are fighting for customers so they let us market for them and once we agree to do so we would make these ads to get your attention and once you click on it someone get payed just for you clicking on it, and if you make a purchase even better the more money for that person. its not a game or virus or anything like that. i never use to believe it before until, i got my degree in marketing and did my e-commerce class i found out about all these things and i realize exactly how it works. if you can go to http://DataEntryBusiness.com and you would see for yourself. if your interested, you have to pay to sign up and start creating your ads, or you can apply to do just data entry for those big companies out there. but do some research on e-commerce first so you can get a better idea of what they are talking about. you can make as much as $200 to $4000 a day doing this. you just have to be willing to work. the first few days might be a little hard but once you get the hang of it it would be easier. this ain't know get rich quick job you have to do your work to get pay.

I did once. I was on Shock-wave doing the daily jigsaw and this darn flashing ad for a laptop kept coming up and it really put me off so I clicked on it just to get rid of it. By the time I got back to my puzzle it had gone (sob) and boy was I swearing.

Ha! I did the same thing you did! Thought "Oh, boy! I've won a PINK laptop!" Thirty pages later, I was no closer to owning that laptop than if I'd had to pick it up on the moon!

THose ads are annoying. I try to scroll up so I don't see them. Otherwise, I just leave the page they are on.
