I would go in honor of my father. He worked on the original space shuttles and was very proud of his position. It would be an honor for me.

At my age it would not matter if there was no return trip. I would love to see with my own eyes the earth as it moves in space. Here is a thought that scares me to no end. We have the space station and I read that we are moving in space not just the rotation of things but a forward movement straight ahead. I guess the gravitation keeps the space station where it always is in correlation with the earth.

Keep in mind there is always the chance of something happening and you never making it up there. No I am not an astronaut and don't want to learn all that stuff. I don't like being in close quarters with people that much. It would be boring.

I would be awed and thrilled. I wouldn't mind the six months. However, I doubt if I could work up the nerve. I think I could have before our two space shuttle accidents. What an opportunity that would be.

Absolutely not. Call me small minded, but I think we could use that money we spend in space for a multitude of other, more needed things. People are homeless, hungry and seniors go without their medication because they can afford to eat or take meds. We could use it for school safety, more police, firemen, clinics, college cost assistance etc. But that is just my opinion. Bon Voyage to all !

Right at this moment, I'll say yes. I would love to take a six month vacation to space. Only if the other astronauts were up there, though. I don't know if I could stand six months of solitude.

Yes, I would like to experience weightlessness and see the earth from the other side. I've see pictures of course, but I know it could never do it justice seeing the real thing. Looking down at the earth, un-imaginable

I would go without hesitation. I know there is no more awe inspiring sight than see the Earth from space with your own eyes. I would volunteer under any circumstances.

No.I have no interest in the space shuttle at all.All the money spent there could have been used elsewhere. They are brave that go in space and i commend them for it.And do realize that is one of the reasons we have satellite television. So in a way they have helped us.

Considering seniors have bone density problems and leaving planet earth increases the loss of bone density, I think I'll stay right here.
