Pretty odd and random question granted but sometimes I'm watching TV or a movie and I see America on there and I think - everything is so beautiful in the States.

What are your views on England and would you ever consider living here?

I am not an immigrant legal or illegal. I don't have family in Mexico and I've never even been there. Don't people take history in school? There were Hispanic people here before the Anglos got here and they've never left. We are now Hispanic Americans.

I quite dislike all gays. At first I thought I was just being true to myself after so many bad incidents of childhood abuse and other things at the hands of particular gay persons.
But now I find that I have to really catch myself from saying terrible hateful things or acting biased or mean to gay people in school or at work.

I don't want to be a bigoted person. I don't want to be like this!!! I don't want to spread hate and evil, especially not to my children.
but I feel so disgusted and uncomfortable around gay people, looking at them on televison or even seeing pictures of someone who is openly gay (like celebs or something)

Hi Folks,

Firstly, I am anti-racist, and having lived in quite a few corners of the world, and I am somewhat dismayed at some minority White Brit. attitudes

However it is a concern that I hear of today of the existance of a Black Police Association.

Fair play in the areas of promoting more non-white Officers, and their welfare in doing a diffcult job.

But, and perhaps a significant "but", If there was the formation of a "White Police Association", then we are going down the dodgy road of segregation, which defeats the whole notion of integration and ethnic tolerance amongst us.

More light-heartedly, I recently filled in a trivial form that asked me for origon.
I ticked the "ethnic minority" box, filled it in as being a Geordie, which I am, and it was duly returned telling me to tick the "White Brit" box.

All opinions thankfully received.

indians discriminate against each other based on pretty much any available criteria race, religion, caste, community language, dressing style, region, sex, culture, food....anything we can think of. , why is it that we are so well integrated but still segregated on invisible lines.

we pride ourself on being multi ethnic and multi racial but at the same time many (esp in the villages) are brought up in they're own comfort zones. im happy that my generation is breaking many of the barriers but the north easterns are still isolated because of they're indo-chinese (mongoloid features)

I don't understand this. I am not a racist person, and I don't say anything when they decide to date out of their race. It's like a double standard. This guy told me that my boyfriend was not quote unquote "hitting my a** right." What's up with that and I how can i stop this kind of behavior. You love who you love.

Regardless of age, sexuality, gender, race... nearly all of us do it.. want to do it or interested in knowing what its all about.

Whats my point....

Well tonight a lot of people are asking sexual stuff and people are probably reporting like mad... as this is a open age site..

Put consider this is this censorship of what sex is from children really helping them? Do you think that telling them not to think about it will stop their interests? I think they are going to look for their answers elsewhere and hide it from you...?

Personally I think you are playing right into the hands of Paedophiles by not being open and allowing your kids to answer their natural curiosities.

Anyone agree with me?

Theres a lot of stuff out there about them being in control of governements world banking. Blair and Bush are high ranking members.

A former member called Albert Pike is the founder of the Ku Klux Klan.. That its real routes are from the time of King Solomon... that Herod was a freemason... and basically the rituals are really designed to brain wash people into thinking they are doing something good when really the leaders are devil worshippers?

I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on the matter.... are they a dangerously powerful cult running our governments from behind the scenes as they devise a Orwellian "New World Order"?

Or is it just a silly boys club where they do daft rituals and handshakes?

everyone on the internet says the whole emo thing is much more than the hair, clothes, and everything else. lots of people say emo is a lifestyle.

well, for a long time i've been called emo, i i decided to do a web search on it. they say emos cut themselves, and wear tight clothes, and are all depressed all the time.
but besides wearing tight clothes, i'm not emo at all.

then i found out there's a whole lifestyle behind it, and i simply don't like being called emo, espically since i don't think i follow the lifestyle behind it. then i'm considered a poser for something i don't want to be, or even be a poser for!
so i was wondering...
what is this lifestyle, and where did it come from?

I hear a lot of black people say that whites benefited from slavery, but none talk about how black people also benefited from slavery. Today's African Americans enjoy the highest standards of living amongst any group of black people in the world and have enormous benefits and opportunities that they receive simply by being born in America as the decendants of slaves. Clearly slavery was terrible for black people at the time, but today's blacks certainly have to be greatful in a way that this occured, otherwise they would be living in Ghana, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, etc. Some will also say that agreeing with this would be like approving of slavery, but i disagree. Most American's ancestors came here in very dire conditions, and it should be a sense of pride that african americans today have so much because of their ancestors' suffering, instead of being used for political gain. So, why not be honest and say that we all benefited from slavery, either directly or indirectly?

KFC has a new commercial that shows an African American Family at the dinner table eating a bucket of chicken. In the commercial, there is the mother, daughter, and two sons. My question is, where's dad? Being a middle aged African American male, father and grandfather, I find it insulting. I work hard to get out the message and echo Cosby and other Black Leaders that urge our young men to take responsibility for themselves and the families that they create. Does KFC think that this is the normal African American Family? Could they not have shown a happy family with mother and father? What do you think?

They presented an award on BET's Hip Hop Awards 2007.
Here's a link to the video. http://www.kalb.com/index.php/news/article/should-the-jena-six-be-celebrated/1007/#one
I don't think the Jena 6 should be seen as modern civil rights heroes. They weren't trying to integrate a school, or fighting for equal rights. They were just 6 black teens who felt threatened, so they jumped 1 white student. They were over charged with the crime, they spent some time in jail. There were protests for them, & now they're being treated like martyrs.
