I quite dislike all gays. At first I thought I was just being true to myself after so many bad incidents of childhood abuse and other things at the hands of particular gay persons.
But now I find that I have to really catch myself from saying terrible hateful things or acting biased or mean to gay people in school or at work.

I don't want to be a bigoted person. I don't want to be like this!!! I don't want to spread hate and evil, especially not to my children.
but I feel so disgusted and uncomfortable around gay people, looking at them on televison or even seeing pictures of someone who is openly gay (like celebs or something)

Tell your children that you believe that it's morally wrong to be gay. But that you shouldn't hate people, or want to hurt them because they're gay. You should try to teach your children to tolerate gays & lesbians, but they shouldn't have to appreciate the gay lifestyle.

You can start with your attitude. Even if you don't believe Gays, Bi's have a right to live happy with their sexuality, it is not up to you to start a personal hate group. That is worse than being Gay or straight. Persecution, judgment, and ignorance is a disease. It eats at your very soul. it says a lot about you. That you are not a fair minded person. That because some one is different from you, you are superior, you have the right to say who is what. Wrong, do you really think people chose to be Gay? They are born Gay. Educate your self, so you are not the walking stupid, and stop promoting hate and ignorance.

You don't hate gay people, you hate what some people, who happened to be gay, have done to you in the past.

I think you are having a normal reaction to something terrible that happened to you in the past, but now you are realizing that though this is normal it is irrational, like a phobia.

Most gay people, like most people, are generally good. Just try to realize this and recognize the difference between them and the people who hurt you in the past.

You seem to be having a normal reaction to your past. Any really traumatic thing in anybody's past can cause later phobias. You could try spaking to a psycologist.

imo,
it is just bad accidents that you met the wrong gay.
so you have to stop the generalization.

you have to understand that may be the gays you've met are those who are being repressed (sexually) by society and family.

well it basically works not just for sexuality.
anything that being repressed aren't good.

Why pick on someone for their sexuality? They cannot change it, they were born with it. I particularly dislike right wing religious people. They are far more dangerous than gay people and they choose to be that way.
