What i am trying to say is do u think that this lad and ladette culture has gotten out of hand .... there seems to be a lack of class, there are no manners , what happened to the real men out there, the ... and what happened to the real women ? Both men and women are loud and lairy , have no respect for each other, it seems we have become a nation of beer swilling promiscuous chavs !! I'd just like to hear your views and opinions, thanks ....

I read yesterday of a little dog being classed as a dangerous dog,on deaths row..A car damaged and abandoned during the storms last week ,having a parking ticket put on it..We can't voice an opinion without some-one saying we are racist,ageist ,sexist,..
and god forbid if we dare to cuddle, shout at, smack our children,or take a photo of them while they are in a swimming costume..we are gradually becoming more frightened to do or say anything every day..

As we move towards an increasingly interconnected society, our interactions with people from within India & with those of different cultures across the world is rising. While buzzwords such as global village & knowledge society are constantly used in advertising, we are hardly open to a respectful acceptance of our differences. Alarmingly there is a rise in xenophobic attitudes and favoritism towards certain sections of society, based either on race, skin color or caste. There are quite a few shameful instances where Indians have exhibited racism. Racial slurs are used quite openly towards people of different regions & religions. When we are on the receiving end, we denounce racism and rightfully so, but, aren't we guilty of a double standard when there is manifest racism in our own country? India has long been a melting pot of cultures, languages, ethnicities and that has been her proudest tradition. How do we transcend above petty racism to embrace all humanity as one with ourselves?

I posted a joke about Liverpool. I thought about it carefully. I'm from liverpool and said so before the joke,

The very first reply said it was racist so i pulled the joke immediately for fear of anyone else saying so and mistaking me for a racist.

I genuinely believe this joke was not racist.

racism is a real problem, i agree. But political correctness is stiffling free speech and individualism.
