I don't understand why they put baby girls in pink blanket sand they put boys in blue blankets in the matrnity wards.

because women are typically more humanistic and inwardly-focused, and pink is the color of skin and flowers and stuff... men are more focused on the outer world, and blue represnets the sky and the ocean and so forth.

Maybe because flowers like roses are pink. Flowers have been associated with girls because of their tenderness/delicateness and sweet smell.

Because pink is brighter and girls are more is associated with brighter colors while boys are more associated with darker colors.

It has to do with the color of the vulva. I'm not trying to be disgusting, but my Psych professor explained this type of thing when i was in college years ago.

When I think of pink I think of soft and I want to snuggle.
When I think of blue I think of strength and I want to protect.
