he is suffering from a perforated diverticulum of the colon, ( hole in intestine ) normally a doctor operates and diverts the feces via a colostomy, however, Castro refused this colostomy and had the spanish doctor cut out the damaged portion and connect the two ends together, ( if you connect two infected ends of intestine together they will not heal ), hence the " connection " is now leaking ( his feces is leaking inside his abdomen )... he is now septic ( infection has spread all over his body ), factor in his frail condition before and after the operation, his advanced age, and the ongoing leak and infection, he may not have long to live...
his death may not cause much cahange in Cuba`s political climate since his brother is now pretty much running the country and has the same ideologies as Fidel Castro...

I only hope Fidel finds Jesus before he dies, but Cuba, is going to turn to Christ, once he is out God is in. That is Cuba's future.

Heard tell he is in bad shape It will not affect Cuba at all as his brother is raring to take over
