I really liked the idea scooter or someone had about ending the violation nuisance by meeting under a different setting. I don't care for a chat environment of that sort, but the idea dawned on me there might be a place for something similar where seniors might really get some help learning things they want or need to know.

For instance, if someone formed a Yahoo Seniors Group for each of us to tutor others I'd be happy to do it for MS Excel, MS Access, Adobe Photoshop, PaintShop Pro, or any other software I know how to use. And maybe someone knows them better than I do, giving me an opportunity to learn something.

But the same might apply to a lot of other avenues.

We're all experts on something, and we're all dunces on other things we might need badly that someone else knows.

Does this sound useful or doable to any of you?

I'm no celebrity worshipper at all, but I remember seeing commercials for his "Transporter" films and thinking, "Wow, that is one smoldering and athletic man." Today, my issue of "Men's Health" arrived with him on the cover, and now I'm rather fixated.

It seems to me that he may be one of the most potently masculine men to ever work in Hollywood. That steely gaze, the unshaved face, the strong jaw line -- oy, the man just simmers and smolders.

What do you think?

For years I've thought it odd that homosexual men are called "gay" but homosexual women are called "Lesbian" [complete with a capital letter].

Since "Lesbians" derives from the Isle of Lesbos, which is considered the cradle of female homosexuality, I think that men should call themselves "Grecians" as a derivation of Greece -- most decidedly the cradle of male homosexuality.

What say you?

I have CP ok.

As I get older, I find it harder to control my emotions than before. Because I see people laugh and point, or stare, or ignore me and talk to the person I'm with, or speak loud and slow as if I don't understand, or even treat me differently in the health care setting (slow with services, ignoring my needs, etc.).

This makes it really hard to go out and get what i need without an incident of prejudice from another person. It took 5 doctors to find one that really respected me and didn't blow me off! And many so called friends take me for granted or try to use me (like guys thinking they can get laid if they flatter me, yeah right!).

i get so angry about this, very upset and frustrated. my therapist just bats her eyes and looks at me in pity. I don't need this but i'm afraid of lashing out at someone and beating them with my cane if another person is rude.

HELP! How do I deal!?!? I'm really at the breaking point because even educated ppl seem to be really ignorant!!!!!

I like his ideas regarding herbal and alternative medicines, but I am concerned about the eldery in United States. They seem to have been neglected in favor of "welfare" recipients.

I am sick of welfare fraud and abuse of medical care in this country - who is looking out for the eldery? The dems give it minorities, welfare lifers, etc., rep create more paperwork and increase costs...

I'm attracted to a girl. She is a lesbian but she dresses, acts, and talks like a guy. It would be better and easier to handle if she was a male. Am I gay or am I just attracted to the masculine side of her?

OMG, I can't believe I posted this question. I have told this to no one.

I'm not trying to become Goth, so don't tell me to wear dark clothes and dark makeup. I'm not trying to attract a boy either (although that would be a nice bonus)

Hi my nan was recently run over and has broken her pelvis. She will be released from hospital and will stay with us until she has fully recovered. Unfortunately we can't give up our jobs so was looking to employ some home help during the days while we are at work. Does anybody have a rough estimate of the costs per week to pay a carer. We live in london so would be helpful to get answers from those of you who live in England. Thanks for your time. Would just be a 9-5 carer
