The government are on people's backs for being overweight. I personally think it is bullying. I myself am not overweight, but I am neither offended by it or feel the need to verbally attack anyone who is overweight.
Yes it is bad for your health being overweight and people need to be educated. But I think the media and the government are going about it all the wrong way. Shouldn't the companies that produce unhealthy meals be the one's that the government approach first and foremost, stop this rubbish from getting onto supermarket shelfs in the first place and we are half way there!

In Pennsylvania it's $650.40. The federal grant of $623.00 and then the state adds $27.40 to it. Some states add to the federal grant while some don't. What is the SSI amount in your state? I'm just curious as to what states are the lowest-not adding anything- and what states add the most to the federal amount. Thanks.

My idea of gardening is pulling a few weeds out of pots , so gardaning programes are a no no ,
I am a old fashion cook pudding pastries stews and roast are my stye, so cooking programes I give a miss,
I like to watch the news but that is full of doom and gloom.
documentries says we are getting hot.
and the deit doctors says I am fat well with all them darn puds i would be ,
A grumy old woman that I am not.

I think my avatar and I must go to the same hairdresser our hair styes are very much a like, at 62yrs I have been grey from the age of 23yrs ,but i dont think she usess the same mud face pack as I am much more gorgeous than he she ,If it isnt to perosnal how do your avatat reflect on your charecter

I am trying to get over my fear. There are people that have certain hair and skin coloring which make me think of a vampire.
I'm not scared of black people. Im not even scared of very very dark people with dark hair such as orange colored mexicans.
Im only scared of dark haired people with kind of olive or light olive skin because of the color contrast. These people invariably have a mouth and full lips which in my nightmares could possible suck blood from me, and paralyze me while they are doing it. It has evolved from my fear of manekkins when I was very small to now this.
Please dont mistake that I am a racist. It has nothing to do with race. If the person only dyed their hair dark it doesn't affect me. I can tell the difference between a person with natural dark hair and a person who dyed their hair dark. The natural dark haired ones scare me.
In order to get over my fear, should I try and dye my hair? Does anyone actually think it would work?

on the tv show "i love new york" where th black girl and her mom are seeking a boyfriend for new york(the daughter)...the mum says that the food one of the "would be boyfriends" looked like "white trash" now if this was the other way around,,,surely there would be uproar from the black community if something was said about using a 'term" for black people......how wrong is that !!!???

Last week, we were using laptops and she was talking about some of the emails students were sending each other. She said they were 'gayish' and 'lesbianish' and that she would tell the parents because she thinks they should know what they're students are emailing. Then earlier today, she said that she hates when she sees girls in school and can't tell if they are male or female. She apparently thinks it's wrong.
Do I have a right to be offended? What's your opinion? Should I just ignore all the things she says and just show up to school dressed in mens clothing?

I mean, I know WHY, but this is the thing I don't get; When you go outside wearing black, your shirt will get warmer over time than the person next to you wearing a lighter color, because it doesn't reflect light so it obsorbs all the light. so if brown skin is supposed to helped the africans from sun damage, then why is their skin sun absorbing? And why is it that white people have skin & and eyes that are more of a reflective color if they hardly got any sun? (sometimes)

I've been retired for a couple of years, I never was big on working; the last job I had was painfully boring. But now I can't figure out if I'm bored because I'm depressed, or depressed because I'm bored. I'm 63, and health wise I'm still able to scoot. In fact, I had a physical today and was declared to be still alive, so I think I'm OK with that. But jeez, what to do? Winter's coming on; I can't ride the Harley anymore this year, and I don't ice fish. I think I'm gonna whack out.
