Last week, we were using laptops and she was talking about some of the emails students were sending each other. She said they were 'gayish' and 'lesbianish' and that she would tell the parents because she thinks they should know what they're students are emailing. Then earlier today, she said that she hates when she sees girls in school and can't tell if they are male or female. She apparently thinks it's wrong.
Do I have a right to be offended? What's your opinion? Should I just ignore all the things she says and just show up to school dressed in mens clothing?

I would take very serious offense to the 'gayish' and 'lesbianish' comments.. in fact, I'd report her.

The other comment about not being able to tell the girls from the guys- I'd let that slide as I don't think there was any harm intended. EVERY generation that same expression gets used which is their way of saying they don't understand the young kids.

i think it's wrong that your teacher acts like this and i feel sincerely sorry for you and everyone that has to put up with her!
she should not be going round calling things 'gayish' and 'lesbianish', especially not in an offensive way like she is!

plus the fact that she thinks it's wrong for girls to be dressed as guys is just insane! if she really thinks like that she should just keep it to herself! it's her problem that she won't accept people because they are not what she expects of them! i mean what even is the definition of dressing like a guy or girl ae? i can tell u this, girl definetly does not mean skirt and guy mean pants. maybe way back in the 50's but thats because different genders were viewed in different ways, there was no such thing as equal rights. does she seriously think that just cos you're wearing a skirt that makes you a girl?!?
your teacher is NUTZ!!!!!
and i think that you should seriously report her to someone!
namely the principal or deputy principal and also your parents!
and get together some friends that agree with you to help you campaign against her!

no one should have to put up with that crap she's giving you!
if it were me i would have given her a few come backs and arguements by now!!!!!!!! there's no way i would let her away with it!!!!

so go for it!! let it out to the authorities around your school! cos she shouldn't be getting away with this!!!

I would take the advice that others have given and report her to another teacher or the principal, A teacher should not be saying things like this to students. She sounds like a B----!
Good luck and i hope something happens to stop her!

Definitely inappropriate behavior on the part of your teacher. She is out of line and needs to be confronted by her peers on this. Talk with a trusted teacher, counselor, or the principle. Good Luck.

she has as much right to believe homosexuality is wrong as you do to be offended by her comments and her violation of privacy, although i doubt anything can be done about it in the near future except to ask her what she meant. try to keep an open mind, and encourage her to do the same. good luck!

All of these are good suggestions. I would just add that if you don't get any support from your local school, then file an official complaint at the school board level.

The problem with ignoring it is that it could well get worse. I would suggest discussing it with your parents, at least then someone knows what is going on.
