Now I am really angry. This is under "Cultures and Groups", then UNDER that "Seniors"
That suggest to me, that his is a site where Senior can ask, answer and say what they fell. don;t these people think? that:_
1) Many of the folks here are NOT moblie, and it is very hard for them to get out and about, so they get on this site to interact with people of their OWN age. I mean what on earth do they have in common with 14 -18 years old. Although we do WELCOME them here.
2) I am still very mobile, but what does it matter what we talk about really? Think of all those on this site who are lonely, frail and just enjoy talking with us. They have problems, so do we all. This site is a SPECIAL SITE.
3) It is a site, where, we can give the lonely ones, love and a bit of amusement, a laugh, and answer a well needed prayer.
4) For those "so called" intellectuals, if you want your pseudo pshycology, philosophy and all the other "stimulation", there are plenty of other catergories you can go to.

if they where told that for one week they could not have use of computers, video games, cell phones and i pods, do you think they would go crazy?!? most of the young people have grown up with this stuff. I grew up in the 80's and the big thing for us was nintendo. i even remember how excited we where when we first got out first VCR. I remember a time when if you could not reach someone at home you had to wait for them to come home to talk to them on the phone. what are your thoughts?

I know there are many religions throughout this world, but in every single one I've EVER heard of killing is a sin. Yes?
So here's my question to you, all of you who say you wish the "Homos/fags/queers/gays/etc. would just die!" What if your words actually did make someone commit suicide?
Isn't that technically murder? Aren't you supposed to reserve all judgements for your respective Gods? Don't you think they'll be just a little miffed that you took it upon yourself to do something that is specifically outlined as a "No."? I'm just curious, one of those things I've always wondered about and want to know why even though your God says murder is wrong, you still do and say things that could have someone killed. I myself have never wished any straight people dead just because of their sexual orientation. (I love my parents.) So why is it... that those of us who are most discriminated against, are the easiest to accept anyone with a different lifestyle?

...I pity you..

We heard the latest this afternoon, on the radio, and again by
Katie Couric awhile ago. I'm not sure if two or three people
were involved. But they killed one and one got away. With all of
the devastation of homes and now lives and injuries, what do
you think would be the appropriate vindication by the law?

I am helping my father look for a new job.

My father can't retire right now but he needs a job with benefits. I have been helping him look for a job since he is scared of computers. He has construction experience but he really cant go back into that at his age. Any advice or encouragement will be greatly appreciated. I am very nervous for him because some companies wont even consider him because hes 62. I know thats illegal but obviously they will choose someone they assume is right for the job.

I've never really had aquaintanes or friends, I'm tired of seeing commericals, shows or anything that mentions it. I've tired to be myself when really it just ends up in an awkward scilence. I'll try to "mimic" a person and the conclusions don't come as near as they say it does. My question is, is there such a thing being friendless?

I had an MRI today. I am so claustraphobic if more than 3 people get into an elevator with me I get off. I never used an elevator until after my accident. If a sweater got stuck on my head I have been known to shred it in my panic.

Today I had an MRI. He had to put me in, take me out, four times, because each time I panicked, I kept talking to myself saying "I can do this, I will do this" AND I managed to calm my panic, control my feelings of being in a coffin, get a grip, not go insane -

And you are in there for an hour. For the first half an hour he kept stopping and asking if I was still ok.

Goldwing the noise WAS just like walking down the street in China. :-) After awhile I could hear the stupid machine saying "words" - chanting them - it was funny. "peanut butter peanut butter peanut butter" then "buddha buddha buddha" "knock that, knock that, knock that" Funny how if you let go of your conscious mind and just drift what you can "hear" :-) I dozed off too

geez,a simple NO would've sufficed.
I am literally laughing so hard tears are running down my face.

I own a condo that is in a 55 and over community. I want to rent it to a person who is disabled and 50 yrs. old. I have heard and read in some material, that a person who is disabled is considered "elderly" regardless of age in respect to the 55 or over ruling. Is this true?
