Do you think the way gay men are portrayed in the media is damaging to the goal of eliminating stereotypes and prejudiced views, our image as a social group and the attempt to educate the general public on the real facts of homosexuality?

Personally I can think of several British programmes (all entertainment based) and some American ones which portray gay men as camp, ridiculously flamboyant idiots. It annoys the hell out of me, partly because I find it offensive, partly because I feel it is counterproductive to the attempts of making homosexuality seen as acceptable within society, and partly because it makes me feel like I'm supposed to live up to some media-created image of what I'm supposed to be.

I've read that the square represents the squaring of your virtues. What does that mean? Also, Could it possibly mean morality, honesty, and fair dealing? I read that somewhere but I wasn't sure it was true. Thanks for the help.

I know it is probably none of my business about my friend's orientation but I am sooo curious. Is it wrong to be curious? She always seems so uptight all the time and I think maybe if she told someone about whatever is on her mind, she will feel much better. I want to do this now because in the past couple of days I have never felt more closer to her. I just feel it so don't ask me why. Also it is National Coming Out day so I think I should ask her. But what do I say without sounding soo weird and forward? Should I just straight out ask her hey _______ are you gay? Can someone please help me out soon!!!!!

Why are these men only after women that will do that when they first meet. I'm sorry I dont know about some women , but I am not just gonna be doing that to anyone. I only will do that to a man that i have known along time that i love and am in a realtionship with for a long time. What the hell is wrong with these women doing this and these men expecting all of us women to do that when we first meet them.

Opinions please.
I go to the salon to get my nails done, I've always kept them long and maintained and go the same salon.
About 6 months ago a new girl started working there and took over the manicures and pedicures. At first she was complimenting me on my nails and very friendly, then she started giving me her discount when I came in for my appointment. Tuesday night she had me scheduled I had to cancel because of a late meeting. She told me to come by after I got off she would be there. I did,she spent her own time after work filling my nails then she was locking up and would walk out with me. She jokingly took my hand in hers and said she was glad I came by she loved doing my nails and told me not to worry about the appointment and asked if I wanted to grab a bite to eat. I told her I had to be up early, I thanked her for doing my nails.
Is she coming onto me ? I have never had feelings towards another girl but now wonder and dont want to be a fool if she not coming on.

AOL has this blurb about how "older" women should dress, and bunches checked in bragging about how they can wear all the latest fashions because they look so youthful.

Maybe they do, and maybe they can. I don't and I can't, but I don't want someone looking down her nose at me because I don't. I hate the way "society" tries to cram people into little molds. And people willingly allow themselves to be manipulated thusly.

i'm very manly....im 20 yrs old and live in a fraternity house...i wish i could like women...i enjoy staring at them cause i do recognize hott women....but i was always rejected when i was younger by them and now that im late in the game....whenever im making out with them and they want to do more, i never feel comfortable...it feels unatural to me (i usuallyd ont know these women for very long)......but for some reason when im horny i think about guys sometimes.....i guess this should make me gay....but besides when im horny....i could never picture wanting to be with a guy...u know? it kinda makes me sick....i dont know what i can do.....maybe give myself another chance with women seeing i havent had many chances with girls I like and the only ones ive had relationships with are ones who i meet at a party who are all over me? god i dont know! this sucks i wish i had no sexual feelings for guys cuz gay guys usually turn me off (all flambouyant the ones i have met...i know not always

What do you think of Melungeon people? What about American Melungeon people? (ie exotic, cool, interesting heritage, ect). If you want, post your age, ethnicity, age and country. I'm a 14year old, straight guy and like being thought of as one of the girls.
About a year ago I told my Mum I didn't like being a guy and she said it was just my hormones and that it would pass, ok that might be hormones because I only started feeling like that when I was 10 and I have to admit I don't want to be a girl as much anymore but I still didn't really like being treat like a boy so I told my friends about it and they didn't except me so I made some new friends who did, one of them being my exgirlfriend who I told after she dumped me and now they all treat me like a girl but when i'm at home I have to hide all of that because my Mum doesn't really want to except one of her children being transgender or whatever but I hate being thought of as a boy and it's only really my family and people who I don't talk to who think of me as a boy now but I just want my family to except me, I mean when I told my Mum that I wanted to be a girl she had ago at me for it.
How can I get them..

on the subject of rape. I still do not think prison for life is good enough for these beasts not only that it costs us about 50,000 a year to keep someone like huntley in side. Why did they not let him kill himself do us all a favour.I think deportation works there are Islands of South America if it was full of perverts they could all abuse each other.What do you think?

I am in a bine I have only recently found out that my boyfreind is involved in a racist group, he has said things in the past negative things about many groups but I just ignored it, but I went on his computer and found he is involved with other gay aryan skinheads and its a real racist group. I nearly dumped him a year ago when he spit on my african american freind who is a lwayer at a club for simply saying hi to me. He accused the my black freind of trying to hit on me which is a lie since I grew uo with this guy. I do not know what to do..should I dump him or try to get him help?
