on the subject of rape. I still do not think prison for life is good enough for these beasts not only that it costs us about 50,000 a year to keep someone like huntley in side. Why did they not let him kill himself do us all a favour.I think deportation works there are Islands of South America if it was full of perverts they could all abuse each other.What do you think?

You mean put them on an island like they used to do lepers? Sounds pretty good to me. But now, for the cons, what if they built a boat and came back to start doing it all over again. The island would have to be policed and food shipped in and clothing provided.. So would we really be any better off?
EDIT How about turning the prisons into workable factories, clothing makers, machine parts, auto manufactures and bring prices back down and the factories that going to other countries for cheap labor could come home?

Being realistic I would say that an indefinite jail term should be imposed for every convicted racist.
Deportation is not solving the problem.
All that goes is pass the problem onto another governments hands and it allows them to continue to rape there victims in that country.
Many are let out after convincing the system that they are reformed characters only to end up back in after committing more offenses.
Personally I do not think they deserve the chance to be released but unfortunately the government seems to agree otherwise.

Nope. killing people is immoral. no one has the right to take anyones life away but God. i understand what they did, but let God deal with it. the GVT can spend money on wars,then they can spend it on that! let them sit in prison and rot.
don't stoop to their level. never aim to kill anyone.

I don't really know , but I agree that it is too expensive for the tax payers to keep these people in prison. They should be made to at least pay thier own way, some sort of work in the prison, and they should not be treated like normal people. They should be suffering and punished for what they did.

if the proof is there and it is unquestionable then i agree with you, rapists, paedophiles, child abusers and murderers should all be punished accordingly. whats classed as justice these days just doesn't suffice if these evil gits (and I'm including women here) are prepared to do the sickening things they do then they should live with the consequence and i don't agree that we have to pay to keep them by working our butts off! death for them though is an easy option but if they want 2 commit suicide they should be left to it. Yes i am a woman and yes i am British but i believe that they should bring back the death penalty as long as there is UNDISPUTED PROOF that they did it!
I know most people won't agree like!

The problem with making them live out their lives on an island in the middle of nowhere makes the government not much better than they are. Everyone has the right to food and shelter no matter what they have done, it would be sending them to their death.
What they have done is terrible and there must be an appropriate punishment, but within guidelines.
My knee jerk reaction is the same as everyone elses, kill them, but it must be better thought out than that.

I think those motherf*ckers should be killed! Once a rapist always a rapist. I was raped when I was 14 and the kid got 2 years probation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I live in fear each day worrying if I'm going to run into him somewhere, it scares me even more now that I'm single. My ex- was there to protect me, we ran into him at stop & shop and my then boyfriend stood up for me.

First, I think South American doesn't want our trash. Second, I seriously wonder if the rule against "cruel and unusual" punishment should be suspended for rapists.

I have my own views on crimes against society (murder, pedophilia, rape), but most of them don't fall within the "accepted" category of punishment.
Personally, I think that rapists, and especially pedophiles, should be castrated AND lobotomized. Castration in and of itself might not stop sexual deviancy, but a castrated jerk sitting in a puddle of his own drool pissing on himself certainly would!

Rape isn't about sex, it's about power, and control. I think putting them to death is not out of the question, if you figure they change the lives of those they mentally and physically scar for life. thats all.
