Is this blatant racism or what? I thought the dude was black because it was at a black school and they interviewed only black students. Come to find out he was white. Sad how the media works. They want everyone to believe it was a black boy.

Now did I say the incident was a race issue? NO. I said the MEDIA IS RACIST, and THEY ALWAYS make everything about RACE. If that was a black boy he'd would have been plastard all over the news Like the Jena 6 and that Oriental Student that went crazy and shot people at his school.

Several different media sources made it quite clear that he was white. The media isn't racist. They couldn't give a crap about race unless making something a race issue will sell. It's all about whatever sells. The proof of it is that they run into the ground the fact that most of these incidents involve white assailants. One example...... The Beltway sniper attacks of 2002. Everyone was shocked to learn that the snipers were John Allen Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo instead of some wacko white man, and we heard about it constantly for a long time [about how surprised everyone was and about white men usually being the perpetrators of such crimes]. Everytime something like this happens it seems like every profiler, psychologist, and behaviorist comes crawling out of the wood work to help the media tell the world that white men fit the bill.
People that are posting claims of the media always making an issue of race when crimes and alleged crimes are committed by blacks against whites need to start paying more attention to the news. Crimes committed by whites against blacks are almost always portrayed by the media as being race related ["hate crimes" or possible "hate crimes"], but we don't see the same reporting of crimes committed by blacks against whites.

I assumed from the TV interviews that the student was black, but the news report that I read pointed out that he was the only or one of very few whites. In retrospect the TV interviews were better as NO mention of race was made, the kids were just talking about another student, which is the way that it should be.

It's not racism. More likely, the news media can't publish the kid's picture because he was a minor - the black people being shown and interviewed are not criminals and are giving their comments willingly. PLEASE STOP PLAYING THE VICTIM CARD! You're not a victim, and you're not discriminated against. Black people need to get off of this kick - it's tiresome. If you're black, smart and work hard in this country, there is literally nothing stopping you. The sky is the limit. So stop looking for racism around every corner.

You find it racism because the shooter was white and the media didn't say it and you assumed he was black because it was a black school. Interesting. I never gave thought to his race. If he was white and everyone will eventually find this out, how can you say the media wanted everyone to believe he was black? If the school was black and they only interviewed black students, did they have a choice? Maybe they should have hired a white kid and interviewed him or her. Sad how your mind works. What an unhappy life you will live.

"Coon, who was white, stood out in the predominantly black school for dressing in a goth style, wearing a black trench coat, black boots, a dog collar and chains, she said." Yahoo News and NBC News Columbus OH
"Henderson, who is black, said she frequently bickered with Coon, who was white, but didn't say there were ever any racial undertones. She and her mother, Kim Jennings, said they didn't believe race played any factor in the shootings." Fox News
Why don't you try reading the article and not just look at pictures?

Does it really matter that there was another shotting at a school? Isn't there a bigger issue ... like what is happening to our youth? I agree you are looking for racism.j

perhaps you should vary your news resources away from just one source because on the MAJOR NATIONAL NEWS channells last night it was made quite clear he was white.

I thought the same, that it was a black guy who was going crazy but yes it was a white male, but it's nothing to get worked up about, not racism.
Edit:
Riddler12000: Um please remove, "you people" that can cause "generalizing" problems.

It is not racism. Not everything is about race. The young man had mental issues that is all. That can affect us all.
