I have nothing against gays or lesbians. They are all human beings. But I can not help but wounder, every time I see an avitar on here with a rainbow in the back ground, If that person is gay or a lesbian. I guess you see the rainbow more so on the female avitars. I did not know the rainbow was the international sign for gays and lesbians. Untill I went to get a tatoo and I picked up a rainbow. The artist asked me. You do know what the rainbow stands for. And I go ya, after it rains. He laughed and said no, It is the international sign for gays and lesbians. So for those of you who are not gay or lesbians, and you have a rainbow in your avitar. You may want to remove it. Or people may get the wrong impression.

But take these words with your through the week. To me they are soooo true.

THE ROSE

Some say love it is a river
That drowns the tender reed.
Some say love it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed.

Some say love it is a hunger
An endless, aching need
I say love it is a flower,
And you it’s only seed.
THIS IS MY POINT!

It’s the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It’s the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance

It’s the one who won’t be taken,
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul afraid of dying
That never learns to live.

And the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long.
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong.

Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed that with the sun’s love,
In the spring, becomes a rose.

I've always (at least on YA) considered thumbs up/thumbs down to be just a mark of agreement/disagreement with the answer given. Not a good or bad mark on ones profile like an agree/disagree does on another forum I peruse and post an occasional answer.

so. a long timeago, i slept over at my best friends house and we ended up making out. before this, we'd never done anything like that... maybe kissed on the cheek once or twice. we'd grown fond of holding each other for extended periods of time (more than half an hour). and since then, everytime i sleep over, we end up making out... we flirt with each other and we both experience urges and sesntations when we're together normally, such as butterflies.
so, i'm guessing this is a dumb question, but ...? experimenting, phase, or... ?

My response to the question by "Joan" about Al Gore and the Nobel Peace Prize was reported, I recieved a violation notice and it was deleted. I will repeat my answer. It was a stupid ignorant question. Does this person not understand what the Nobel Peace Prize is about or are they just really bad at trying to be funny. Either way it was stupid. That is my honest opinion. Obviously the person who reported it (probably the asker) is immature and revengful. Who ever did it should grow up and learn to take what they dish out or get offline. This kind of thing happens a lot in this group. Not to me but to others. I have noticed a lot of answers and questions disappear soon after they are posted. This is rather childish and immature and it is sad that they are supposed to be coming from mature people. If you want to be respected act in such a way as to deserve it.

If you answer in a positive manner it has not helped some users feeling any better.

Don't get me wrong I not some crazy freaking idiot. I see videos everyday of how military people in Iraq beat up people even children for kicks, they kill animals, like goats, sheep, cats and dogs for fun when they are bored there. They have no accountabilty for any of their actions. Then there is the whole thinking for yourself thing, which they don't. I mean people really thinks it's a good thing to be in iraq. And then when most come home they act like a bunch of cocky brainwashed jerks, anyone else feel this way or am I going crazy. and I'm suppose to bow down to these people. some maybe, most not.

Disabled Citizens often live on very limited income, and those who do have a disability pension often spend a great deal of money on medical expenses, prescription drugs, and care giving. So I do not understand why the disabled are not given same the consideration that Senior Citizens are given.

of racism these days?

2007-10-13 16:56:06 · 14 answers · asked by Anonymous in Other - Cultures & Groups

there are these two guys in my algebra 2 class that fight over who is better. one is african and the other is black. the black guy always calls the african a n....., because is dark, and he always says that he is "black as s...". but the thing i don't understand is they are both dark, just the african guy is darker. but i know a lot of black people that feel the same way about africans, but i don't understand why, since they are part african, and if their ancestors had not have been slaves then they would be in africa and they would be darker, because of the lack fo mixing.

anyway is the normal? i am not saying that all balcks are racists against africans, but do you think it is just their ignorance that makes them hateful or could it be deeper?

please don't take offense to this, and i KNOW all black people aren't like this but many that i know are and i have lives all over the US

Or are we already there?

Sigh...will somebody just write the cable companies to get them to create the (W)hite (E)nter(T)anment channel so that the Caucasians on this site will stop complaining? They could put on shows and videos which depict their race in the best possible and most inspiring light...just like BET! =D

When people say this--
--If we had WET(white entertainment television) ...we'd be racist.
--If we had a White Pride Day... you would call us racist.
--If we had white history month... we'd be racist.
etc

I understand the point but to me it seems kind of a foolish thing to say.
From what I remember, history classes are basically the history of the rich white guy, unless it is specifically history of another group of people. I don't remember ever learning any black history or womens history except in the designated months.

Not just black people watch BET.
You could call almost every other channel "WET" if you wanted to. Don't get me wrong, I love VH1, but you gotta admit, not really geared to young asians.

I read this question

should I do?

He told me so that he wouldn't be "cheating" on me, and I'd rather him not do it behind my back ... but, really, do I NEED to watch?

Should I just tell him to go somewhere alone with the guy?

Or should I just get him a video of two men having sex to see how he reacts before he goes through with this?

People just push and shove them out of the way. They get annoyed when they have to repeat something to them because of hearing issues. What's the problem. You'll be old one day too, if you're that lucky.
