I am sorry to say but I do take some offence to some of these answers. there are a ton of us with brain damage, moderate like I am (no I don't work in fast food, I work as a medical coder which is a very difficult job) who work. not everyone with brain damage is on scocial security. to dump some on off at a rehab center to meet someone who is just trying to learn about a life changing event and trying to make a new life for themselves is totally insensitive and stupid remark. sorry but you didn't think before you answered. if you don't know a thing about a subject it is best to not say something totally insensitive. there are a lot of TBI (traumatic brain injury) groups on yahoo. there are support groups in every city. have him go into the Brain Injury Associan of America http://www.biausa.org/ (it wouldn't hurt others who answered the questions before me too also, get a bit of education) there is a link in there to his states Brain Injury Associan which will have links to all sorts of groups in his area.
